A New Hope for Youth Aging Out of Foster Care

TWT Center is an initiative of the American Outreach Foundation that provides free vocational training and job placement services to youth aging out of foster care and other underserved individuals in the Coachella Valley.

Our Vision

We envision a community where everyone has the opportunity to achieve economic stability and personal growth. TWT Center empowers people with barriers to employment by transforming challenging circumstances into life-changing opportunities. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to work, earn and contribute to society.

Our Mission

TWT Center, is a vocational manufacturing center that empowers aged-out foster youth and other disaffected workers with hands-on training, career guidance, and personal growth opportunities.

We create jobs and facilitate direction for those who deal with any kind of impairment or situational challenge. We address loneliness in its many forms and are a source for positive change in our communities.

Our Values

We respect the dignity and diversity of our participants, partners, and staff. We act with integrity and accountability in everything we do. We strive for excellence and innovation in our services and outcomes. We show compassion and empathy for the challenges and aspirations of our participants.

Our Objectives

We aim to increase the employability, income, and self-confidence of our participants by:

  • Assessing their skills, interests, and needs

  • Offering them a variety of training courses in high-demand fields

  • Providing them with career guidance, mentoring, and support

  • Connecting them with employers who value their talents and potential

  • Following up with them to ensure their success and satisfaction

Our Projected Impact

Every year, thousands of young people age out of the foster care system without adequate skills, support or opportunities to succeed in life.

TWT Center aims to change this reality: Our objective is to create jobs and facilitate direction for this vulnerable group, helping them transition to the workplace and transform their lives and their communities.

We aim to reduce unemployment and increase the Coachella Valley’s income level and to address loneliness in its many forms and be a source for positive change in our society.

Assuming our funding goals are met, we expect that by 2027, we will train and employ over 500 workers in our center, generating substantial revenues and contributing to the local economy.

We believe that what we do counts, even if it can’t always be counted. We are TWT Center, and we are here to make a difference.
