Mr. Oscar Llort
Founder, President, Board Member
Oscar contributes more than thirty-five years of extensive executive experience in a broad area of general business, technical, manufacturing and marketing management. Currently serves as Chairman of the Board and Director of Operations.
Mr. James Egan
Senior Vice President, Board Member
James brings over forty-eight years of executive business experience both domestic and internationally. His astute financial insight provides a pragmatic approach in corporate affairs and growth management.
Ms. Victoria Llort
Vice President of Fundraising and Public Relations, Board Member
With an extensive background in fundraising, event management and community outreach, Victoria brings forth experience in public and business relations. With a Masters in Political Science, she serves as the Foundation’s spokesperson and Vice President of Fundraising and Public Relations.
Ms. Fran Barborak
Fran offers a lifelong experience in accounting and financial preparations in the business and corporate field. Fran contributes with dedicated voluntarism and professionalism to effectively carry out the supervisory responsibilities of the accounting process. Fran insures that the preparations and financial statements of the Foundation are in compliance.
Mr. Ernesto C. Rosales
A lifelong resident of the Coachella Valley, Ernesto is actively involved in various charitable organizations in the community as well as in the Indio and Coachella Chambers of Commerce. Ernesto contributes to the board of the American Outreach Foundation as a reputable public figure recognized for his altruistic heart, high energy, and savvy professionalism.
Ms. Valentine Llort
Secretary, Board Member
Along with a Masters’ Degree in Library Science & Management, Valentine brings ten years of fundraising experience and a unique business take. She contributes as a board member and assistant director in the operations of the foundation.
Mr. Bob Nelson
Bob retired in 2009 after spending 40 years in Alaska with his wife Donna. Bob enjoyed a successful career as a specialty contractor in the construction industry. “Being a Mason, I know the value of service to your fellow man.” Now living in Bermuda Dunes, Bob serves on the community's Security Association Board of Directors. Bob enjoys his game of golf and contributes as a board member with a lifelong experience in business dealings and networking as well as director of "Day of Events" during the annual fundraisers - American Car Show and American Outreach Invitational.
Mr. Guido Portante
Veteran Affairs, Capital Fund Committee Chair & Board Member
Starting in the California National Guard, Guido served the nation throughout a successful military career. From the 40th Infantry and Armored Division to Associate Director of Operation Quarters in Washington DC during the Reagan administration. Guido retired Brigadier General as the Deputy Commander of Operations for the 40th Infantry Division in California.
General Guido contributes as a board member with a strong work ethic and a solid background in service to others. Guido is responsible for the Veteran Affairs with a key role as both adviser and participant in developing veteran support and awareness community programs and projects.
As chair of the Capital Fund Committee, Guido’s leadership expertise is a valuable asset in developing and securing funds to support the Foundation’s program development and strategies.
Mr. Arthur Llort
With undergraduate degrees in Economics and History from the University of Redlands, Arthur, is currently in his third year at the University of San Diego, School of Law. He provides pro bono work for USD’s Small Claims and Entrepreneurship Legal Clinics and is currently on the San Diego Law Review. Arthur serves as board member with an already extensive experience in corporate law and business dealings.
Mr. Peter Potente
Peter is the CEO and Managing Partner at Potente, A Professional Law Corporation in San Diego. For more than a decade, the firm successfully advises businesses and individuals throughout California and internationally in matters from corporate general counsel, business succession to finance, and mergers and acquisitions and more. Peter graduated from California Western School of Law in San Diego.
Pete contributes as board member with a wealth of name branding, business dealing and networking. Pete bring an extensive experience and knowledge in ethical and regulatory nonprofit governance.
Charlie serves as American Outreach Foundation’s Administrative Assistant. Charlie is a rescue Doberman Pinscher from the Riverside County Animal Shelter in San Jacinto.
In Charlie’s words, “I was left overnight in a drop box. Scared and all alone, I didn't know what was going to happen to me. Now, I am so happy! I even wish my tail would wag faster! My favorite hobbies, when not going to the park to exercise, are going to work every day and being the gatekeeper at the Foundation’s office!”
Mr. Dan Mechem
Dan Mechem is a seasoned media and entertainment executive, and Senior Vice President for Unit 9, a London based agency with offices worldwide. Mechem is also Chairman of Mechem Media, an animation and live action studio in Hollywood. Mechem started his career as Press Secretary for John McCain, and subsequently became a reporter for Fox News. Dan brings extensive experience in marketing and public relations affairs. He contributes as a board member helping business, sponsorship and fundraising development with insightful perspectives and dynamic marketing approaches.
